Features

The project will involve the development of mathematical modelling software, image processing software and software to extract features from data collected from a wide range of detector instrumentation. A remote monitoring system will transmit images to earth from satellites in space, following the route of a pipeline and identifying key threats to pipeline safety and security. The final information will need to be presented to the end user in a simple and manageable format that will enable the recipient to respond to incidents in a measured way, without the probability of false alarms causing the quality, safety or integrity of the system being called into question.
